Erika S

RVT
SUMMARY

Erika grew up on a small family farm in Port Elgin, Ontario, where her love for animals grew. After graduating with honors from the Veterinary Technology program at Georgian College in 2015 she went on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician in August of 2015.

Her career started when she spent a year in a small animal clinic gaining the confidence and skills needed to enter the exciting world of emergency medicine. In 2016 she moved to Borden to follow her husband and his military career and worked at a veterinary emergency clinic until 2020. Erika missed the connections you develop with your patients in regular practice so she decided to join the team at Mill Street Animal Clinic and hasn’t looked back since. She still works the occasional shift at the emergency clinic to keep her skills fresh but is loving getting to know all of her new furry friends on a regular basis.

In her spare time Erika enjoys taking her two boxers Koda and Bane for off leash walks, cuddling with her two cats Baloo and Groot, riding her horse and visiting with family & friends.
